Plastering, lime work, rendering & screeding

Traditional lime plastering

Lime putty based or with the various grades of NHL with appropriate aggregates and stone dusts. Lime work is important in older and heritage buildings where the inherent 'breatheability' of lime mortars and renders helps the walls give up moisture entering the building, rather than it being retained. Internal and external work executed.

Plastering

From simple patch plastering to walls, celings and entire rooms and buildings, using the relevant grades of modern plasters, with various reinforcing beads as required. Skimming existing surfaces as well as going back to the sub-surface. Installation and finishing of plaster boarding. Fitting covings, roses and decorative plaster mouldings.

Cement rendering

Smooth or figured cement rendering for external walls, where there in not a requirement for lime work, for a decorative as well as protecive finish, allowing further paint or other finishing. We can integrate with new brickwork as well as deal with damaged bricks, blocks and surfaces. We can arrange for painting, etc.

Floor screeding

Often as part of a wider project and where a large screeding contractor is not required, I will lay new solid and screeded floors in preparation for final covering, to enclose underfloor heating and to genrally provide a new smooth flat floor surface.
